Town Hall hours change -- late day shifts to Tuesday Effective Jan. 6, 2025, Vernon Town Hall hours will be adjusted and the late night will shift to Tuesday from Thursday. Vernon has long offered late hours one day a week giving residents the opportunity to visit town hall to transact business, such as renew a dog license, obtain a birth certificate or pay taxes. For many years the late night was Thursday. Town hall hours will now be: Monday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, closed. This schedule change does not impact the probate court, public works and public safety departments
