Vernon Public Works has several road milling and pavement projects planned for the coming weeks.

All work is dependent on the weather and contractor availability.

The surface layer of each roadway will be milled from curb to curb. Paving will follow. Rafferty Fine Grading is performing the milling work. Galasso Paving is the paving contractor.

Replacement of curbs, catch basin tops and driveway aprons will be at the discretion of Vernon Public Works Department.

Vernon Public Works crews will place signs in neighborhoods to notify residents when work is close to beginning.

On-street parking IS NOT permitted during work periods.

Work is scheduled for the following roads, weather permitting:

• Emerald Drive, Emma Lane and Eva Circle.

• Deepwood Drive and Gottier Drive.

• Welles Road.

• Linden Place and Minterburn Court.

Expect roads to be closed to through traffic while work is underway. Local traffic will be accommodated, although there may be delays. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

During the milling process travel may be difficult and is at your own risk.
