Milling work began Monday on Center Road and Vernon Summit Road. The roadways will be milled from curb to curb and then paved.

Work schedules can vary due to the weather and contractor availability, although the duration of each project could be about two weeks.

During the milling process, travel may be difficult and is at your own risk. On street parking is NOT permitted during work periods.

Milling is being performed by Rafferty Fine Grading. Galasso Paving is performing the paving work. Paving will follow milling and the work schedule will be based on the weather and contractor availability.

Replacement of curbs, catch basin tops and driveway aprons will be at the discretion of the lead road foreman of the Vernon Public Works Department.

Roads may be closed to all through traffic during work times. Local traffic will be accommodated but there may be delays. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times. 

Work is scheduled for 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, but could be extended into the evening if unanticipated issues arise.
