Tuesday is the Democratic Primary in Connecticut.

Voting is from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at regular voting locations.

Voting is open only to registered Democrats. There is no same-day voter registration for a primary.

The only question on the ballot in Vernon's voting districts is who should be the Democratic candidate for governor, incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont or challenger Josh Elliott.

Vernon is in the Second Congressional District and there is no contest for the Democratic nomination in that race.

PLEASE NOTE: While the First Congressional District primary between incumbent U.S. Rep. John Larson and challengers Luke Bronin, Ruth Fortune and Jillian Gilchrest has generated substantial news coverage and public interest, Vernon is not in the First Congressional District and Vernon voters will not cast ballots in that race.
