The Democratic primary to choose the Democratic candidate for governor is Aug. 11. The candidates are incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont and challenger Josh Elliott.
The primary is open only to registered Democrats.

Early voting begins this Monday, Aug. 3. The early voting schedule is:
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9.
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug 4 and 6.

Go to the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall, 14 Park Place. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Closed Friday.

Each application for an absentee ballot requires the registered voter’s original signature. You may not sign it on behalf of another voter.
Please note that absentee ballots must be returned to the town clerk or placed in the drop box outside town hall by 8 p.m. on primary day.
