Early voting

Early voting for the municipal election begins today and continues every day through Nov. 2.

Early voting is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. most days.

On Oct. 28 and 30, there are extended early voting hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All early voting is at the Registrar of Voters office, 375 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon.

If you are not registered to vote, you can register at the Registrars of Voters office at 375 Hartford Turnpike and cast your ballot after registering.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4 and regular voting places are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Same day registration is available on Election Day as well at the Registrars of Voters office.

Absentee ballots are available for those unable to vote early or who cannot appear at their assigned polling place on Election Day because of active service in the military, absence from the town in which you are eligible to vote, sickness, religious tenets that forbid secular activity on the day of the election, duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting, or physical disability.
