The Town of Vernon joined with ShopRite of Tri-City Plaza, Connecticut Foodshare, HVCC and Cornerstone to bring attention to hunger during ShopRite's annual Help Bag Hunger event on Tuesday.
Town Administrator John W. Kleinhans, Fire Administrator and Fire Marshal Dan Wasilewski and EMS Coordinator Katie Rosenthal joined representatives from other organizations to help bag shoppers groceries.
