Traffic Safety in one of the department's core responsibilities. Our aim is to prevent traffic crashes and related injuries and deaths. We urge all motorists to voluntarily comply with our traffic laws.

Members of the department conduct traffic enforcement activities both during routine patrol and specialized operations focusing on serious offenses of Impair Driving, Speeding and Distracted Driving. In an effort to reduce crashes, Officers try to focus on those intersections and roadways where the most crashes occur.
