Project Update- July 11, 2008

Park Improvement Projects Completed

The Town of Vernon Parks and Recreation Department has recently completed installation of basketball hoops at Legion Field located on Reagan Road and Center 375 on Route 30. We have also installed new picnic grills at Dart Hill Park, Valley Falls Park and Henry Park. Improvements are part of the towns program to utilize town facilities for the local “Stayvacations” program.

The Central Park gardens have also been completed in downtown Rockville and look gorgeous, take a ride and see the beauty in the new gardens.

Community Pool:

Community Pool filter system has been completed.

Henry Park:

Horowitz Pool Bathhouse repairs is under way and is expected to be completed in September 2008.

Trails/Vernon Greenways/ Parks

Vernon Depot Trail Grant is in progress.
Rockville Downtown Trail Grant is in progress
