Eversource Tree Trimming &

Removal Project 2018

Eversource Energy will be starting their 2018 tree trimming and removal project to reduce service interruptions and provide adequate safe working space for their line workers.  Trees are the No. 1 cause for power outages and this work is being done to reduce or mitigate that potential.  The trimming will occur around and above power lines using the latest proper arboricultural practices and standards.  Tree trimming is the most effective means of improving reliability to their customers.  This tree work also benefits our community by removing dead or diseased trees that not only threaten the lines and rights-of-way but also public roads.
Crews from Asplundh Tree Expert Company will be doing the work under the guidance of Eversource Vegetation Management Coordinator and Arborist Erin Baer.
Residents who have questions or concerns may contact Erin Baer at 860-402-0793, Asplundh Work Planner Kelvin at 860-690-9671 or the Town of Vernon Tree Warden Jeff Schambach at 860-870-3500.
