Earth Day 2007
Earth Day 2007 was a great success. There were two hikes for the public to join and the turn out was great for both. One was a bird watching walk through the Belding Wildlife Management Area. The walk was lead by Jane Seymour. The Belding has beautiful trails through it and is a tremendous asset to the town.
The other hike was lead by George Arthur, member of the Hockanum River Linear Park Comm. The hike went along the river on the trail from Naek Rd. to the water treatment facility on Windsorville Rd. George gave information about the river and points of interest along the way to the hikers.
We look foreward to next year's Earth Day to raise awareness about and help protect our greatest asset.
